We're almost there!
I wanted to let everyone know that the rewards are currently with the fulfillment company and they are waiting for more mailing materials to arrive. Once they are restocked, your physical rewards will be shipped with the quickness. Digital rewards will be shipped by me this week. I have been waiting for the final art from one of our artists to send out the full digital bundles but some backers would prefer to have their rewards now. So, I will be sending your rewards out in two separate links with the first coming this week. Please keep an eye on your email for your links.
I will update you all again when the link for the digital bundles is posted. Again, thank you all for your support and patience. I know this project has drug on much longer than we all thought. The good news is that when we launch Rayna: The Bastard Queen #3, that issue will be finished already.

Shipping Update

Hey everyone, I know it's been a bit but here is another update on your orders. Greko just sent me this email letting us know that the extra reprints will be delivered tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, we can get these out to you ASAP so you can all enjoy this issue. My amazing fulfillment partners at Laguna Studios are very efficient, so we should expect these to get sent out very quickly.
I will take this opportunity to share with you a few things regarding the past year of Kickstarter for me and what 2024 looks like as well.
Several things have happened within the process of Rayna #2 that have hindered its fulfillment.
- We had several members of the production team take extensive time off due to sickness and/or family issues. This pushed our Rayna #3 launch date several times before we had to push it indefinitely. My priority has been the well-being of all creators involved, these people are not just hired artists, they have become good friends over the years. So I will push the project as far back as needed to accommodate them.
- We had two of our post-production partners back out of creating physical rewards for the campaign once the campaign had wrapped, leaving me struggling to find replacements, which I'm sorry to say will not see production and will have to be refunded. I'll be reaching out to those backers privately to discuss this week.
- The past few months have taken a toll on me and that is the reason I've been quiet on all social media. I've made no secret about the fact that I've struggled with anxiety and stress over the years but this year has been especially bad. These setbacks regarding the Kickstarter projects I'm involved with only add to personal matters that have been adding up. Several times I've taken bad advice from fellow creators/peers in the comics space and it has blown up in my face. These projects have suffered from those mistakes and it is a hard lesson to learn. I'm only sorry that it's taken me so many times to learn my lesson. I am very passionate about my projects and I need to follow my gut and do what I feel is best for them. At the end of the day, it is MY brand that suffers, and I need to take ownership of that.
I am a one-man show when it comes to my projects and it's very obvious that I am stretched far too thin. So I'm happy to tell you all that going into 2024, I will be partnering with Laguna Studios to fully take over all post-production fulfillment aspects of my Kickstarter projects. That means, once we successfully fund a project, you can rest fully assured that I will be hands-off and Laguna Studios will handle all product orders, fulfillment, and shipping for me. They are fast, quality-driven, and have a proven track record for fulfillment. Going forward, you can rest assured that your orders will get to you ASAP.
Apart from that, I will also be focusing the bulk of my attention on the Rayna series alone. I have one other Kickstarter project that needs to be fulfilled and once that's complete, my focus will be 100% on Rayna and her adventures. We have so much story to tell you and our goal is to make Rayna the biggest it can be. I know I can speak for the entire team when I say we hope you all come along for the ride. We have some exciting things planned for this property and can't wait to show you all.

Fulfillment Update.

Hey all, I apologize for the lack of updates, it has been very hectic here but I wanted to let you know where we are with fulfillment.
The books actually were delivered on October 6th as scheduled but they were not delivered to the correct place. A lack of communication led to a big misunderstanding but we finally have it figured out. The books were recovered by the fulfillment team and are being readied for delivery now.
I am deeply disappointed because we shouldnhave had everyones rewards to them by Halloween so we could launch Rayna issue 3 on November 1st. This obviously didnt happen and will now force us to postpone Rayna issue 3 until March. I've had to cancel a series of comic shop instores and signings to promote issue 3 because of this.
The long wait for the art slowed us down but we cannot control when sickness or family tragedy strikes. The Rayna team have been through the ringer this last year so for this delivery botch to happen just makes the sting of the late fulfillment that much worse.
I know how this looks to everyone but I can assure you that we only have the best of intentions while launching and fulfilling these campaigns. The teams work on several different projects so scheduling these launches and fulfillment duties are difficult throughout the year when factors outside of my control happen. I do take full responsibility for not communicating these events to you all better. That is something that I am working on getting better.
We have some big plans for Rayna next year and this has caused us to push everything back quite a bit more than I am comfortable with, but we want to make sure we come out with issue 3 and make the biggest splash possible. Issue 3 is done and issue 4 is in the works so hopefully we can fine tune this machine and get 3 issue of Rayna out in 2024.
I will update you as soon as I hear from the fulfillment team on the progress of the rewards. Again, I apologize for the trouble and completely understand those who are angry with us. Your feedback is welcome and we are working diligently to address these issues and correct them.
